meet the newest title-holders in town

 Born in Wisconsin and now calling the Bay Area home, Matthew is a marketing professional by day and a daddy bear by night.  His adventures have taken him from Paris to Peru, with stops in Chicago, Miami, and Southern California along the way. 

A firm believer that the best journeys begin with great conversation and genuine connection, he found his place in the bear community by leading marketing for Bearrison Street Fair in 2024. 

 Matthew is all about connection, confidence, and community. A proudly sex- and body-positive service dad, he believes taking care of others is always in style. The quickest way to his heart is through a great meal... though those who know him might tell you his nips deserve an honorable mention! 

An Art History major, he's never met a museum he didn't love, and nearly a decade in working in fine dining taught him as much about people as it did about food and wine. Fun fact: he once met Bea Arthur—and if you ask, he'll tell you why raccoons are his sworn enemies 

Today, he continues building community through volunteerism and service on the Folsom Street Board, always bringing enthusiasm, authenticity, and a passionate spirit wherever he goes. 

San Francisco native James Robinson took the stage by storm on Saturday, August 15, and walked away with the first EVER Mr. San Francisco Otter title.

Scott, who identifies as  a proud multiracial gay man, was born and raised in the Mission District, and spent much of his 30s on Maui before returning back home.

 James is a body modification enthusiast who has explored unique forms of silicone body modification as a form  of self-expression. He's also passionate about fitness, bodybuilding, and the transformation of the human  body. "I believe in individuality, confidence, and embracing what makes us unique. My journey is about  having the courage to authentically become the person I envision myself to be."

 When asked what being Mr. Otter meant to him,  Scott said " Otters represent intelligence, community, and the power of working together. Being an otter  means contributing to something greater than yourself and helping build a stronger, more connected  community."
